Ongoing work...

I trained as a crystal healer with the CHSVA after meeting a wonderful lady called Julie Robertson at a talk in my then place of work. She wasn't teaching at that point, but was a wonderful crystal healer - and still is. It was a fascinating journey as I had no experience at all with dowsing or energy fields when I began. We all have to begin somewhere!

Around the same time I began my journey into Reiki. I did level three in 1999, but always felt there was something else I needed to do.

I have acquired vast personal experience with food and nutrition in the pursuit of my own health and that of one of my children. I ventured into a short journey with Chinese herbs which was amazingly good for me but incredibly expensive. Recently I discovered that the Dr Joshi's Holistic Detox had much the same effect on my body and for substantially less money! I am a great believer in natural remedies wherever possible.

More recently I have studied sound healing and am planning to study with Jonathan Goldman in the States. The power of sound is immense, and this ties in with the power of thought and word and how important it is to get the vibration right to manifest our desires. Please remember to have fun while doing this!

This year I have added two certificates in the Emotional Freedom Techniques to the gifts I can offer. It is a wonderful branch of the ancient meridian therapies (acupuncture is probably the best known) which I believe are key to our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health here on planet Earth.

Art as a therapy

Two fairly recent experiences have shown me how I can find total relaxation. One was a weekend painting course where we were all so focussed on learning our new skills that there simply wasn't any time left to worry about the everyday problems.

I have long known that arts and crafts offer this escape into peace, but not made time in my busy life to really make the most of it.
